We love our Wet Coco

wet_coco.jpg

Last week during a warm summer evening, Prince of the household, Coconut aka Coco insisted on going outside. Phu told him the weather service predicted thunderstorms. “See the dark clouds, Coco.”

Coco had important matters to tend to: eat the neighbor’s cat food (is that why he’s 23 pounds), find a girlfriend, and guard HIS yard from other cats. After an hour away from home, it began raining cats and dogs :) with thunder shaking the house and lightning illuminating the sky every five minutes.

I called out the back door “Coco, Coconut”. I called out the front door “Coco, Coconut”. No sign of Coco. I didn’t dare go outside looking for him to get drenched. After three tries of calling Coco, he suddenly appeared from under the shrubs, drenched. He ran into the house and shook himself several times, leaving puddles on the hardwood floor. We wrapped him in a towel and let him go. He licked his fur endlessly for an hour. That’s our boy.
