About
Welcome to Little Love Tales. This blog is a collection of touching stories, photos, poems, and quotes. It’s a living tribute to the love, kindness and goodness in the world.
I created this blog as a way to honor my loving deceased parents, Israel and Rosalie, and to keep their loving memory alive. I remember mom for her cheerful laugh, immense knowledge about everything from cooking chicken to business know-how to fixing toilets. Dad was a role model of honesty, integrity, and objectivity. He approached situations with practicality, free of ulterior motives.
Mom died in 2004 after a four-year courageous battle with colon cancer. With each complication, from not being able to walk around the block to not being able to eat (fed through intravenous tubes) Mom focused on what life gave her and not what life took away. I can remember lying on the bed next to Mom flipping through Martha Stewart magazines, admiring the beautiful photos and imagining how the food tasted.
Dad died in 2006 of heart complications due to being hit by a drunk driver while crossing the street.
In the short period of time Dad lived without Mom, he devoted his life to religion, family, and community. Dad attended synagogue daily as a source of community and strength while volunteering at a hospice and a local cancer foundation. Before he died, we took a scenic cruise up the Mississippi, taking in the lush green foliage and fresh river breeze. A precious memory of the two of us together.
Mom and Dad rest in peace in Sacramento, where I grew up. Although I now live 2000 miles away in Minneapolis, Sacramento will always be home. Home is wear the heart is, and my heart is with my parents.

I live in Minneapolis with my husband Phu (Vietnamese) and two cats, Coconut (Coco) and Coffee Bean (Beanie). These little kitties are the princes of the household. (Although one day soon these boys will share their royal status with a golden doodle.)
I’m an adjunct faculty member in Marketing at the University of Minnesota and Saint Marys University.
The blog was created in Word Press by BJ Novack of Kickass Web Design. She is delight to work with, responds quickly, is an expert of search engine optimization, and very patient with the technically challenged. The logo was collaboratively designed by Phu Tran and Josh Milender, my husband and my brother-in-law.
