Eli said he wanted an ice cream sandwich. He said he wanted to go to the chicken to get it. I responded, “the kitchen”. Eli said, “yes, the chicken”. We might be the only house on the block that stores milk and eggs in its own chicken.

Punishment for having a two year old… He insists that mommy stay with him for several hours while he watches the same episodes of Blues Clues over and over and over and over again.

Eli has been taking baths all of his entire 2.5 years of life. In the last bath he made a brilliant discovery, “Mommy, my tushy has a hole in it”.

The family is in the car, headed for the drive thru lane at Wendy’s. I ask Eli “Would you like a frosty?”. Eli replies, “I want a froggy.”

Mommy was scratching her nose. Little 2yr old Eli asked “Mommy, are you picking your nose? Mommy don’t pick your nose”

I was getting dressed on morning and Eli saw me put a pantiliner in my underwear. The next day when I was getting dressed, he asked where was the sticker and pointed to my underwear.

2pm Eli and I are in the kitchen. I open the cupboard while he is in his high chair. He sees a package of Pedialite and wants it. I explain that the juice is for when he is sick so he cannot have it now. 7pm Eli: “Mommy, I am sick, I need juice.”

Me: Open the bag Two year old Eli holding a microwave bag of popcorn wrapped in plastic: reaches down to the paper grocery bag, grabs the edges to open it Me: No, open the bag of popcorn. I grab the plastic to help him tear it open so he can put it in the microwave.
